JARED R. STECHER
Jared R. Stecher, age 69 of Potter, NE passed away at his home Thursday, December 5, 2013.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, December 14th in the Prairie West Church in Potter with Rev. Betsy Galloway-Carew officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Potter Cemetery.
Cremation has been held. A complete obituary will be published when available.

Mary Louise Jansa, age 86, of Bridgeport, passed away Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 12, 2013 at All Souls Catholic Church in Bridgeport with Fr. Dave Rykwalder as Celebrant. A graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at the Hemingford Cemetery in Hemingford. Visitation will be held from 3-7 p.m. Wednesday, December 11, at All Souls Catholic Church. A Rosary will be recited beginning at 7 p.m. at the church. Memorials may be made to the church.
Mary was born on January 16, 1927 in Alliance to Clyde and Lois (Mote) Watteyne. She attended St. Agnes Academy and graduated from Alliance High School in 1946. Following high school, she worked for the Alliance Steam Laundry. Mary was united in marriage with Jerry Jansa at Bridgets Catholic Church in Hemingford on November 14, 1946. She spent the next 50 years living on a farm west of Hemingford, devoting her life to her husband and daughter.
Mary moved to Bridgeport in 1996 where she made many new friends. She was involved with her church and truly enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mary loved Czech music and dancing to the Polka. She traveled many times to the Czech festival in Wibur, Nebraska. Mary always had something to say and loved a good time. She was a member of the All Souls Catholic Church, Ladies Alter Society, Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxillary and the Nebraska Czechs.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Mary Pohl of Bridgeport; two grandchildren, Jeffrey (Michelle) Pohl of Bridgeport and Joanne (David) Haynes of Pensacola, FL; five great grandchildren; four nieces; one nephew; and many friends. They will all miss her greatly.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jerry; sister, Lucille Dietrich; and brother, Bill Watteyne.Read more →
